Description
The Omni-Top is a replacement top cap for your BM9 / Black Ops microphone.
Featuring a 5/8″ screw thread, the Omni-Top allows you to attach an OCULA omni capsule to your BM9. This means you can recreate the cardioid pattern of some classic old microphones – such as the STC 4033 / Altec 639 / Western Electric 1142 – by blending a bidirectional ribbon microphone with an omnidirectional capsule. The front of the ribbon adds to the omni pattern, while the rear of the ribbon subtracts, producing a cardioid pickup pattern.
