“This is a bluegrass banjo recording. I also play the guitar and the mandolin and for me the banjo is the hardest to record for some reason. This is one of the best sounds I´ve got with my Gibson Granada! Recorded in a small log cabin, no processing. For me as player, the sound is very close to what I’m hearing myself and the BM9 captures a lot more of the banjo ‘head sound’ than a lot of mics (which always hear more of the string sound)”.
